So I purchased Pokemon Yellow when it came out, and I've been enjoying it a lot, and I thought perhaps I'd try to relive my dream as a kid by getting all 150(1) Pokemon, however the problem is I don't think I'll ever come across anyone that has the Pokemon VC game on their 3DS. In the Japanese releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, as well as all versions of Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, there is a glitch involving Substitute - no matter the accuracy of the move, if it is a move that absorbs HP (e.g. Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain), the move will have a 100% chance to miss!

The original Generation I core series Pokémon games, Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow (Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow in Japan), will be released on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in North America, Japan, Europe, and Australia on February 27, 2016. The games will be released on the 20th anniversary of the Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green.
The games will use Nintendo 3DS wireless communication to communicate with each other, unlike most Virtual Console titles.

From screenshots, Pokémon Yellow will be released in European languages as a Game Boy Color Virtual Console title, while all other games and the Japanese release of Pokémon Yellow will be Game Boy Virtual Console titles. In European languages, Pokémon Yellow was originally released as a Game Boy Color game that could also be played on Game Boy with some features disabled (although it was marketed as a Game Boy game that was enhanced on the Game Boy Color). In Japanese, Pokémon Yellow was released exclusively as a Game Boy title and did not have any additional features on Game Boy Color. The games do not appear to use the Super Game Boy palettes.
In Japan, the games will be available at retailers as both download code cards and download code special editions. The download code special editions will include a download code for the game, a special edition box, stickers, a cartridge-shaped magnet, and a map of the Kanto region in the games. Each download code card will retail for ¥1,111 (before tax), and each download code special edition will retail for ¥1,389 (before tax). No details about a retail release outside of Japan have been announced.

“Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version, and Pokémon Yellow Version: On February 27, 2016, Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version, and Pokémon Yellow Version will be relaunched on the Virtual Console for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family. The games remain true to the originals—complete with monochromatic pixel art and 4-bit background music.
